A first place finish for Hilton & Moss at Castle Combe!
The Hilton & Moss Motorsport team enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Castle Combe Circuit as William Garrett and Tim drove our Pre-’63 Jaguar E-Type to a hard-fought victory in the GT & Sportscar Cup.
With the notorious British weather on full display, the day began in tricky wet conditions, making qualifying a real challenge. Despite the slippery surface and reduced visibility, William and Tim delivered a strong performance, securing P1 in class and P13 overall on the grid, a promising start in a highly competitive field.
The real test came in the gruelling 90-minute endurance race. William took on a demanding double stint, carefully managing the E-Type through the challenging conditions and steadily working his way up the order. With the track still offering little margin for error, consistency and focus were key. After handing over to Tim in the pits, the momentum continued as he brought the car home with precision and determination.
The result was outstanding: P6 overall and a commanding P1 in class, a well-deserved victory that highlighted both the performance of the car and the teamwork behind the scenes.
Every member of the Hilton & Moss Motorsport Support Team played their part, ensuring the E-Type was perfectly prepared to handle the challenges of Castle Combe. For William, competing in the wet on such a demanding circuit was a true test of skill, while Tim’s experience was invaluable in securing the class win.
This latest result is another proud milestone for Hilton & Moss, showcasing our passion for historic racing and our commitment to achieving success at the very highest level.
