Many owners believe they must use a main dealer to keep their warranty intact, however under the UK Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Order (MVBEO), in force from June 2023 until May 2029, all drivers have the legal right to choose an independent specialist for their vehicle’s care without invalidating the manufacturer's warranty. The UK MVBEO also means manufacturers have to share technical information and access to genuine parts with independent servicing providers.

To ensure your warranty remains fully protected, we prioritise the use of genuine OEM parts. Under UK MVBEO rules, we also have the right to use parts of matching quality. These are components manufactured to the same exacting specifications as original equipment, ensuring your vehicle performs as the engineers intended. We can work with you to source an alternative or aftermarket part to complete a service.
It is important to know that using an independent specialist or non-OEM part does not automatically void your warranty. If an aftermarket part, incorrect fluid, or poor-quality service causes a failure, the manufacturer can and may deny a warranty claim for that specific issue. For a manufacturer to deny a warranty claim, the burden of proof lies with them; they must demonstrate that a specific failure was directly caused by an inferior part or substandard workmanship.
