For those who believe the Lotus Elise was always at its best when focused firmly on the driver, the Elise S Club Racer represents one of the most compelling versions of this modern British sports car.

Introduced as a lighter, more purposeful interpretation of the supercharged Elise S, the Club Racer combined the performance of Lotus’s 1.8-litre supercharged four-cylinder engine with a stripped-back, weight-conscious approach that stayed true to the original philosophy behind the Elise. The result is a car that feels wonderfully direct and engaging, offering the kind of connection between driver, road and machine that few modern sports cars can replicate.

Producing 217bhp and weighing little over 900kg, the Elise S Club Racer delivers performance far greater than the numbers alone might suggest. With the majority of its mass concentrated low and centrally, unassisted steering and a famously communicative chassis, every journey becomes an event. The supercharged engine adds an extra layer of excitement, delivering strong, immediate performance while retaining the delicacy and precision that has always defined the Elise.

The Club Racer was conceived for enthusiasts who wanted an even more focused ownership experience. Weight-saving measures and purposeful specification helped distinguish it from the standard Elise S, while retaining sufficient comfort and usability to make it an enjoyable car for road use, spirited weekend driving and track days alike.

First registered in July 2016, the car is presented in the wonderful Elise Grey without the Black Pack allowing the colour to take centre stage. The satin black forged wheels compliment the black soft top and provide a nice contrast alongside the rear transom. A black full leather interior completes the aesthetic.

Having covered 28,000 miles with just three long term ownerships, the car has clearly been enjoyed and looked after. With a comprehensive service history, having recently just received a large service and MOT in June 2026 by Lotus specialist Craig Moncrieff Cars, the Elise is ready to be enjoyed immediately by its next custodian.

Now inspected and prepared for sale by Hilton & Moss, with two new rear tyres just fitted, the car will be supplied with a 12-month warranty for extra peace of mind.
