Description
The Vantage name has long been synonymous with the more extreme performance Aston Martin models over the years, dating all the way back to the 1950s.
Launched at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the race-inspired AMR edition amplifies the Vantage model, taking inspiration and direct influence from Aston Martin Racing's championship winning V8 Vantage GTE in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Limited to just 200 models worldwide, the V8 AMR was available with either the automated Sport Shift III paddle-shift transmission, or for the purists among us, a six-speed manual gearbox.
Available in four 'standard' colour schemes, as well as the special Halo Pack version, each scheme is linked to its own individual interior colourway, demonstrating Aston Martin's craftmanship and refinement.
Our V8 Vantage AMR is presented in the 'Halo Pack' colourway. The Stirling Green exterior paintwork is complimented by Lime Green accents throughout, including a prominent front to back central stripe and stand out Brembo brake callipers, mounted behind the gloss black 5-spoke alloy wheels.
The carbon fibre front splitter, front grille, side strakes and rear diffuser continue the motorsport theme, whilst also providing aerodynamic stability. PPF is installed to the entirety of the bodywork for the maximum level of protection.
The Halo Pack features a unique interior, with a combination of leather and Alcantara throughout. The lightweight, carbon fibre sports seats are finished with Copper Tan leather bolsters, Pure Black Alcantara centre panels and Lime Green piping, as well as featuring metal Aston Martin badges and AMR embroidery to the headrests. A Lime Green rear panel sits above the twill patterned carbon fibre seat backs.
The dashboard is finished in Pure Black Alcantara, as is the steering wheel. The carbon fibre ski slope is accentuated by Lime Green piping, as are the black carpet floor mats. Being a 2017 model, the interior features the facelifted ski slope design with haptic touch buttons. The door cards also feature black and tan leather, with the contrast piping and a gloss black arm rest. Connectivity within the car includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as two USB ports and of course Bluetooth pairing. Front and rear parking sensors are present, as well as a reversing camera.
Under the bonnet, you'll find the naturally-aspirated 4.7 litre V8 engine that produces 430bhp, with power driven to the rear wheels by a 6-speed manual gearbox.
As one of just 62 RHD V8 Vantage AMRs delivered to the UK, with only 38 of those being specified with the manual gearbox, this presents an opportunity to acquire a rare, desirable and instantly recognisable V8 Vantage in excellent condition.
