Hilton & Moss were proud to showcase their Semi-Lightweight Jaguar E-Type at this year’s Goodwood Spring Sprint, marking a significant milestone for the car following an extensive period of preparation in the Hilton & Moss motorsport workshop. The event served as a vital shakedown after a comprehensive engine rebuild, which saw the car upgraded to a wide-angle head race engine specification as part of its preparation for sale.
This major mechanical overhaul not only enhanced performance but ensured the car is presented to its next owner in fully sorted, race-ready condition. Goodwood provided the ideal proving ground, allowing the team to validate the work carried out and demonstrate the E-Type’s capabilities in a competitive environment.
Taking to the wheel, both William and Tim delivered assured and confident performances, quickly building pace in the freshly rebuilt car. The E-Type showed strong balance and reliability throughout the day, underlining the quality of the preparation work completed by the Hilton & Moss team.
The standout moment came courtesy of Tim, who set an impressive lap time of 93.28 seconds, securing 1st in class and confirming the car’s front-running potential. It was a fantastic result and a rewarding validation of the team’s efforts.
